Quebec City

You took your first big trip all the way across the country to visit Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. Papa is interviewing for a job as a mill manager for a harwood plywood plant in St. Casimir. The flight was long -- we left the house at 5 am and didn't get into Quebec until 10 pm. This is a picture of you at the end of the last flight.

I didn't really want you to get used to the time change so you slept in each day till about 10:00. The first day we spent the afternoon driving along the St. Lawrance river looking at small towns between Quebec City and St. Casimir. Then you were a trooper at a very nice dinner.

The next day a wonderful lady we met through mothering.com took us all over the city and showed us the neighborhoods that we might enjoy living in. It was nice to see the city through the eyes of someone who actually lives there.

After our tour with Desiree, we met Hughe (pronounced Ugg) from the mill, he took us to see the ice hotel north of town. It is honestly a hotel made out of ice. It was cold -- and you were cold!

Bee and me at the front door to the ice hotel.

Coldest family photo ever.

The ice hotel is still in the making.

Brian takes a slide at the hotel.

I thought this was a great picture. The sky is just so blue.

Berkeley's first visit to a bar. Only in Canada!

Berkeley and the ice. You look a bit cold.

Check out the glasses - yes they are blocks of ice!

The next day, back on the plane for a day of flying back home to the pacific northwest.
