playing with auntie

We are down in Portland this evening and staying until Friday (today is Wednesday). It is your first night away from papa, he is in Idaho for work. We just returned from thai food with Aunt Jill and Aunt Molly. I was tired -- because we had to wake up at 6 am this morning to make it to a client meeting for work. They are sweet clients and they gave you a VERY generous baby gift!! We are going to buy you an organic mattress and a kinderzeat high chair. I love spending time with the Aunties -- sometimes we think it would be nice to be in Portland so we could do it daily -- but I also love my job and the little business and so would hate to give that up. Plus papa loves his job...someday maybe we can make it ALL work. You also spent last Friday with Auntie Jill. She came up for the lavender festival in Sequim. It was funny...we went up there with big intentions of making it to the farms, the street fair and the lavender displays. It took us three hours to walk through a part of the street fair and eat at the food court. After that we were all too pooped to do anything else so we went back home. We looked like a zoo with two of us and four little little babies. On Saturday you got your first set of baby pictures taken. You were pretty good for the shoot -- the best part was when papa was holding you naked and you gave hime the biggest, runniest, yellowest poop right in his hands...oh you were so proud! You continue to grow like a weed and we absolutely love it -- you are pushing 14 lbs. now!! Unbelieveable [8 weeks and double your birth weight] -- I think you are healthy and happy!! You continue to smile a lot when we talk to you, and you are getting so good at imitating us when we open our mouth and stick out our tongues...plus you also continue to grunt and groan most of the day...you are a talkative munchkin!!
